Translational Science Seminars

Translational science is an emerging discipline encompassing acquisition of new knowledge about health and disease prevention and treatment, combined with clinical research to translate research findings into improved practices.

Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute’s Translational Science Seminar Series provides hospital investigators, physicians, nurses and students informal opportunities to learn about significant discoveries taking place at Akron Children’s and throughout northeast Ohio.

Invited guest speakers from Akron Children’s and surrounding institutions describe their own scientific inquiries to translate scientific knowledge into national healthcare gains. Speakers have included researchers from area universities and healthcare institutions.
