Akron Children’s myelo clinic is offered the second, third and fourth Thursdays of each month.
Our clinic includes nearly 10 pediatric subspecialists and allied health professionals under one roof to deliver the best outcomes for patients and families:
During your first appointment, our team will evaluate your child’s chronic condition and then offer recommendations to improve the quality of life for your child, family and caregivers.
For the first 2 years of your child’s life, a family typically visits our clinic every 3 months so our team can closely monitor his development.
After your child turns 2, clinic visits may slow to about twice a year, and for those children who are especially stable, they may only require a yearly checkup.
Our service coordinators help families schedule appointments, find local support groups and assist with the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH).
We know you must have many questions about your child's condition. We hope you find these articles helpful.
