Aydan was born full term but when he was born he was unable to eat or breathe on his own. He had to be life flighted to Akron Children's Hospital an hour after he was born.
We soon found out he was born with a full bilateral cleft palate and Pierre Robin sequence.
He had is first surgery at a week old to put jaw distractors in. We spent the next 6 weeks in the NICU.
He was readmitted to the hospital 2 months later because he wasn't gaining weight. We spent an additional 2 weeks in the hospital.
He has now had 6 surgeries and he is doing GREAT!
Our little man gets stronger every day and he has taken great strides to catch up with all of the developmental things that he fell behind in.
We are so happy with Dr. Grow and all of the nurses in the NICU and Dr. Murthy and his staff.
