In this year’s TV campaign, we’ve turned the camera on our doctors, so you can see how intensely they care for every child – and family – they treat.
One of these doctors is Jennifer Grow. Dr. Grow works in the level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Akron Children's Hospital, as well as our special care nurseries at Akron General and Summa's Akron City Hospital.
A level 3 NICU is the highest possible level of neonatal intensive care. It's where the most fragile babies get the best possible care - and hear a few lullabies.
U.S. News & World Report ranks Akron Children's division of neonatology one of the best among children’s hospitals nationwide. Our neonatal team cares for nearly 1,300 sick or premature newborns each year.
Akron Children's NICU was also the second in the U.S. to acquire "Cool Cap" technology, which has proven to improve brain damage by lowering the infant's brain and body temperature.
