In this year’s TV campaign, we’ve turned the camera on our doctors, so you can see how intensely they care for every child – and family – they treat.
One of these doctors is Ananth Murthy. He is the director of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Akron Children's Hospital. Dr. Murthy is currently involved in research on how to grow new ears from small pieces of cartilage. And he believes that when he operates on a cleft lip or birth defect, he is affecting more than just skin. He's affecting a child's self-confidence.
The doctors of Akron Children's plastic and reconstructive surgery center see patients at the hospital's Akron campus, as well as at offices in Boardman and Brecksville.
