We’ve had an exciting month, including our computer catching a really bad virus. I’m so thankful for my brother who took the time to debug it so we didn’t have to pay a lot of money to get it fixed, or worse, buy another computer.
Our little peanut has been making some good strides. It may take me a few entries to give you some fun details so please bear with me.
We created new memories during the holidays including making homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas Eve. Randy also introduced cookie making. My personal favorite this year was the corn flake cookie wreaths.
Christmas Day was a little overwhelming trying to fit most of our family in. We spent the morning together with the four of us (Daddy, Mommy, Jordan and Sasha, our Yorkie Shitzu mix). Afterward, we ventured off to my brother’s church to enjoy their Christmas Day service, then to my side of the family, and finally over to Randy’s mom’s. Jordan was a trooper with the major change in schedule. We enjoyed watching him curiously tear through the paper to open his gifts.
We also introduced another holiday tradition – the day-after-Christmas shopping. Randy and Jordan waited in the car while I stood in line to get into the store at 7 a.m. Then they joined me waiting at the end of the aisle as I scurried through to pick up our purchases. It wasn’t as crazy as you think. We were home by 8 a.m. for our morning naps.
We will be visiting Jordan’s neurosurgeon, Dr. Hudgins, this week for an update on how Jordan’s hydrocephalus is doing. He has not shown any signs of abnormal discomfort and continues to use both sides of his body.
We pray that Jordan’s head circumference measurements are consistent and the fluid in his left ventricle has not increased since our previous ultrasounds.
