Yesterday we left our home in Ohio to leave for Family Advocacy Day. We landed at Reagan International Airport around 6. We then we picked up our bags and took a cab to the JW Marriott Hotel in DC.
Now, I’ve visited Washington once before back in 2005 when my family and I were passing by DC on our way to a baseball tournament I had in Delaware. We went sightseeing and walked to all the memorials we could get to before the sun went down. Let me just say that I’m interested in visiting more of this great city/district this time around.
When we arrived at the hotel, we signed ourselves in and saw our way to our room.
We then went to eat dinner at a restaurant down the street where the food was nothing short of delicious. It was a four course meal with a toasted marshmallow shake, and topping it all off was a cup of some candy bacon bits.
Today, my family and I have two radio interviews set up to start off our day. Hopefully they both go off without a hitch like our previous interview.
Later we head to the ballroom for dinner, which I hear will be spectacular. Operation FAD is underway. It’s gonna be a busy couple days coming up so I’d better get some rest.
