In this year’s TV campaign, we’ve turned the camera on our doctors, so you can see how intensely they care for every child – and family – they treat.
One of these doctors is Jeffrey Hord. He’s the director of the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Akron Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hord and his team treat more than 200 kids with cancer, including Cael. Dr. Hord has been treating him for more than two years, and they’ve grown to be good friends.
Under Dr. Hord’s leadership, Akron Children’s ranks in the top third of childhood cancer centers in the U.S. in terms of the number of new cancer cases seen each year. And as a member of Children’s Oncology Group, the world’s largest childhood cancer research collaborative, Dr. Hord and his team are committed to finding cures and improving treatments for children and teens who are affected by cancer.
