Objectives (Educational Content) :
1. Identify the purpose and function of the Summit County Child Fatality Review Board

2. Recognize the criteria for diagnosing SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)

3. Identify how the Medical Examiner makes cause of death determinations for SIDS vs. Sleep-Related Fatalities

Target Audience:
Physicians, pediatricians and pediatric residents.

Identified Gap:
Since the local Medical Examiner recently spoke on the process of the ME office with pediatric facilities, a presentation about abuse, whether physical, Munchausen by proxy, or a combination of all types of abuse would be well received.

Estimated Time to Complete the Educational Activity
1 hour

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process:
The learner will view the presentation, successfully complete a post-test and complete an activity evaluation.

Evaluation Methods:
All learners must successfully complete a post-test, as well as an activity evaluation, to claim CME credit.
