Your Retirement Matters

For most employees of Akron Children’s, the hospital’s retirement program consists of 2 components:

Employees hired before 2007 are covered under a defined benefit pension plan instead of the 401(a). Some highly compensated employees may also choose to participate in a 457(b) deferred compensation plan.

These plans, together with Social Security, allow our employees the opportunity to ensure financial security in retirement.

Rollover Contributions: You can roll over account balances from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b) and Roth 403(b) accounts into the CRIB plan.

VALIC representatives: As the administrator of Akron Children’s retirement plans, VALIC provides representatives to meet with you. They will:
