Akron Children's Robert T. Stone Respiratory Center has a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurse clinicians, pulmonary function technicians, dietitians, physical therapists and a social worker.

Our center was funded in large part by a donation from Akron residents Donald and Marcia Stone to recognize the vision and work of Donald’s brother, Dr. Robert T. Stone.
Dr. Stone has been a member of Akron Children’s Hospital's medical staff since 1967. From 1972-98, he also served as medical director of the hospital’s Lewis H. Walker Cystic Fibrosis Center, and from 1995-98 as interim chairman of the Department of Pediatrics.
The Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics named Dr. Stone as "Pediatrician of the Year" in 2002.
