Eloise Lemon manages the human and physical resources for the research institute's clinical studies. This encompasses sponsored as well as investigator-sponsored studies conducted by Akron Children's researchers.
Lemon has three decades of pediatric clinical research experience, providing a foundation for establishing performance, quality and training standards to support the studies Akron Children's conducts annually. Over her career, she has held clinical study research positions at University Hospitals and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland. All told, she has been responsible for the completion of more than 800 pediatric clinical studies.
At Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute, she ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and developing the controls and procedures to meet the requirements. Lemon serves as the institute's external liaison to Clinical Research Organizations (CRO), Clinical Research Administrators (CRA), Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and study sponsor project managers and medical directors.
Lemon also oversees communication among site staff and principal investigators on study progress, external monitoring inspection visits, and the implementation of approved study updates. She has conducted her own research and is named as a co-author on several published papers describing research project findings.
