Procedures & Tests - pH Probe Test

(This procedure/test may also be known as: Acid Reflux Test, Reflux Test)

A pH probe test is done when the doctor thinks that symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, or GER, are causing problems. With GER, the stomach contents come up into the esophagus (swallowing tube). Everyone has some reflux. This test will tell if there is acid reflux at the same time that your child has problems.
