U.S. News & World Report ranks Akron Children's Pediatric Urology Department one of the best among children's hospitals nationwide.
We offer laser, laparoscopy, lithotripsy (the use of shockwaves to break up stones of the kidney, ureter and urinary bladder) and other minimally invasive techniques to treat diseases of the urinary organs in young girls and the urinary tract and sex organs in young boys.
Our staff also uses urodynamic tests to show how well the bladder and sphincter muscles work and to help explain symptoms such as incontinence, frequent urination, problems starting a urine stream, painful urination, problems emptying the bladder completely, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
