Akron Children’s offers a 1-year, ACGME-accredited pediatric radiology fellowship program. The fellowship may extend into a second year, depending on the fellow's goals and space availability.
We handle about 90,000 radiology procedures each year, and all modalities are available. Our goal is to give fellows a strong foundation for a career in pediatric radiology. Fellows learn to advance patient care through the knowledge, skill and compassion developed during the fellowship year.
Akron, Ohio, offers a great quality of life and low cost of living. In fact, the Huffington Post ranks Akron among the 18 most underrated cities in the U.S. It offers family-friendly communities with excellent public and private schools.
There are a variety of restaurants, malls, art galleries, museums, concert venues, theaters, and cultural and arts festivals. For nature lovers, the Summit County Metro Park includes 125 miles of trails, 14 developed parks and six conservation areas.
Sports fans can also find plenty of sporting events within 40 miles, including the Akron Aeros minor league baseball team, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, as well as college teams from the University of Akron and Kent State University. Pittsburgh and Columbus are also within a 2-hour drive.
