Through its membership in the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN), Akron Children’s Hospital offers a 2-year fellowship program in clinical pediatric neuropsychology. We have two fellowship positions, and our fellows work in Akron Children’s division of Neurobehavioral Health.
Our fellows receive clinical training with diverse neurologic, psychiatric and neurodevelopmental patients, ages newborn to young adults. Clinical rotations are flexible.
Fellows also participate in a variety of didactic activities, including case conferences, neuroanatomy review course and behavioral neuroscience seminar. Fellows also teach/supervise interns and graduate students and contribute to, or initiate, research programs under the mentorship of faculty.
Most research programs are supported by grants, and cover the following areas:
Our pediatric neuropsychology fellowship program participates in the APPCN match system, and the deadline for the academic year that begins in July is early January.
We will interview candidates at the annual meeting of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) in February. However, phone and on-site interviewing are also available.
We rely on your generosity to provide quality medical care to every child who needs us.
