Meet Our Patients

Our team includes board-certified pediatric nephrologists, nephrology nurses, renal dietitians, social workers, mental health providers, renal transplant coordinators, child life specialists and teachers.

The major disease categories we treat include:

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Nephrotic syndrome, which can be the first sign of a disease that damages the kidney's tiny blood-filtering units. It usually occurs between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, although it can occur at any age. And it affects boys more than girls. Symptoms include high levels of protein in urine; low levels of protein in blood; and swelling from a buildup of salt and water.
  • Glomerulonephritis, a type of kidney disease caused by inflammation of the kidney's blood-filtering units called glomeruli. It can be temporary and reversible or chronic.
  • Kidney stone formation
  • Kidney failure

We also have a kidney dialysis and renal care center for children and teens whose kidneys have failed.
