Country music act Brother Trouble to play benefit concert for Akron Children’s Hospital

10-03-2011

National recording artists Brother Trouble will hold a special concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, at Musica, 51 E. Market St., Akron. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Summer Pediatric Research Scholars Program at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Tickets for the concert are $20 each and on sale at www.ticketmaster.com.

The Summer Pediatric Research Scholars Program is part of Akron Children's Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute and offers college students opportunities to gain experience in clinical and quality improvement research in northeast Ohio’s largest pediatric hospital.

Summer scholars work closely with mentors (physicians or other healthcare practitioners) in a division within the department of pediatrics. Mentors help scholars define the project that will become the focus of their summer research efforts.
