Akron Children’s Hospital has acquired the Allergy & Asthma Center of Northeast Ohio and its three allergy and immunology specialists Rajeev Kishore, MD, Ravi Karnani, MD, and Nancy Wasserbauer Kingston, DO.
“This move enables us to better collaborate with the other pediatric specialists at Akron Children’s, particularly in regards to inpatients on the asthma service,” said Dr. Kishore, director of Akron Children’s division of Allergy and Immunology. “We look forward to developing new services and working together on research projects.”
Their offices will remain in Akron Children’s Hospital’s Considine Professional Building, where they have been located since 2004.
The physicians treat children with food, drug and seasonal allergies; asthma; atopic dermatitis; and immunodeficiency and skin diseases. In addition to the inpatient asthma service, the division of Allergy and Immunology and Robert T. Stone, MD, Respiratory Center will also collaborate on best practices in outpatient asthma care.
