Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley receives $12,000 from Eat 'n Park campaign

Area Eat ‘n Park restaurants raised more than $12,000 for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley through its “Caring for Kids” Campaign.

Executives from Eat ‘n Park’s corporate office will present a check for $12,057 to representatives from Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Warren restaurant, 2057 WalMart Drive, NE.

The donation represents the total raised through events at all area Eat ‘n Park restaurants including the Austintown, Boardman and Warren locations. Fundraising events varied by location and included “Tips for Tots” nights, raffles, prizes, games and more.

Now in its 32nd year, the “Caring for Kids” campaign is a five-week effort in which Eat ‘n Park conducts fundraising activities to benefit children’s hospitals in the communities where their restaurants are located.

This year, corporate-wide Eat ‘n Park team members and guests raised a total of $341,365 for children’s hospitals and charities across Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
