Dr. Stephen Crane, MD, FACOG, MBA, has been appointed the chair of Akron Children’s Hospital’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Center.
The Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine provides care for women who are at risk for pregnancy complications or who are carrying a fetus with a potential or confirmed birth defect or genetic condition. The staff is made up of board-certified perinatologists with advanced training and clinical experience in high-risk obstetric problems and advance prenatal diagnosis.
Practicing at Akron Children’s Hospital since 2005, Dr. Crane attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He preformed his obstetrics-gynecology residency and his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center.
Katherine Wolfe, DO, has joined Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine. She provides specialty maternal care for high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Wolfe attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa., for medical school and completed her residency in Obstetrics-Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center. She did her fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
