Akron Children’s Hospital won three silver awards at this year’s Web Health Awards, which honors the nation’s best digital health resources.
The hospital won awards for its website, blog and mobile website.
The competition, which is held twice a year, featured 52 entry categories, including blog, e-newsletter, mobile application, mobile website, social media, video and website. A panel of 32 experts in digital health media served as judges and selected gold, silver, bronze and merit winners from nearly 500 entries.
Other winners included Everyday Health, Inc. (website), the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (microsite), Blue Compass Interactive (infographic), CVS/pharmacy (mobile app – e-commerce), AARP, (web-based resource tool), and Johns Hopkins Medicine (webcast video).
