Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation creates donor recognition program for kids

The Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation has created Kids GIVE, a donor recognition group especially for children who have supported the hospital.

Young people give back to Akron Children’s in countless ways, including serving as Change Bandits in the “Have a Heart, Do Your Part” radiothon, donating proceeds from lemonade stands and bake sales, and by collecting and donating toys for the hospital’s patients. Kids GIVE enables the hospital to thank its young donors.

Parents are encouraged to enroll their children so they may receive a newsletter, personalized member certificate, invitations to special kid-friendly events, and much more.

“The hospital benefits greatly from the support of kids in our community,” said Sara Lundenberger, special events coordinator for Akron Children’s. “We are amazed by how much these kids do for us, and we’re thankful for their generosity.”
