Aluminum Cans for Burned Children to hold fundraiser for burn survivors

Reverse raffle to be held Oct. 18


Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC) is hosting a fundraiser to benefit burn survivors from Akron Children’s Hospital Paul and Carol David Foundation Burn Institute at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at St. George Family Center in Akron.

The event will feature a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., dinner, live and silent auctions, basket raffles and a reverse raffle. The grand prize of the reverse raffle is $1,500.

Tickets are $80 for a couple, or $50 for a single ticket. Tickets include dinner and entry in to the reverse raffle, and can be purchased by calling 330-543-8813.

Proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit ACBC program. Sponsorship for burn survivors can also be purchased.

“By supporting this local event, you are investing in our community,” said Mark Harper, event organizer. “It is important for burn survivors to know that the community is here to support them.”
