The 113th Charity Ball and 65th presentation of the debutantes, presented by the Women’s Board of Akron Children’s Hospital, will take place at E.J. Thomas Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015. All proceeds benefit Akron Children’s Hospital.
Twenty-three debutantes will be presented at the annual cotillion in recognition of their parents’ and grandparents’ volunteer contributions to the local community. Tammy Gersman chairs this year’s ball.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. The debutante presentation will take place at 7:30 p.m., with dinner and dancing to follow.
Music for the evening will be presented by Special Request, and A Taste of Elegance will present dinner.
To continue the commitment of service demonstrated by their families, the debutantes participated in a service project of their own, volunteering for Project Linus. The national non-profit organization makes and then donates homemade blankets to children in the hospital or others in need. This year’s debutantes spent a day making blankets for Akron Children’s Hospital patients.
If you’re interested in attending the 113th Charity Ball, contact Jessica Jones at 330-543-5019 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are $175 each. Reservations are due Dec. 1, 2015, and space is limited.
23 debutantes will be presented at the annual Charity Ball Dec. 30
