Event: Juvenile Firestoppers Program

Akron Children's Hospital
Outpatient Burn Center - 3rd Floor

The Burn Center at Akron Children’s Hospital - in conjunction with firefighters from the Akron Fire Department - established the Juvenile Firestoppers Program in 1990 to educate the growing number of children who engage in some form of firesetting activity.

The Juvenile Firestoppers Program is an educational program that teaches children that matches and lighters are tools, not toys. The 3 P's of fire safety (prevention, protection and persuasion) are taught through videos, games, lectures and discussions. The classes are tailored for ages 3-17. The program is free.

For complete information, including registration, see the Juvenile Firestoppers Program web page.
