Akron Children's Home Care Group provides an alternative to a long hospital stay for children who are sick or medically fragile. The goal is to provide quality medical care, while easing the financial burden on families. In some cases, home care can reduce costs by as much as 80 percent compared to in-hospital treatment.
Children who can benefit from our home care services include those who are physically or mentally challenged, are dependent on medical technology/equipment, have chronic medical conditions or have been recently hospitalized for wound or burn care, the consequences of low-birth weight or premature birth, or other conditions or injuries.
Our services include:
Our staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, home care assistants, speech therapists, medical social workers and pharmacists.
Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on an hourly or per visit basis, depending on doctor orders and needs of the patient and family. Our service area includes Carroll, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Holmes, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties.
Before treatment begins, a Children's Home Care Group representative will meet with you to discuss the program and your child's and family's needs. Our staff will also help you determine your family's financial coverage for the services your child requires. We will bill most payers directly. Our services are also available on a private pay basis. For more information, call 330-543-5000 or 1-800-950-3085.
We rely on your generosity to provide quality medical care to every child who needs us.
