Harness Race Rally

Harness Race Rally

Though much has changed since the first Harness Race Rally in 1962, one thing has remained the same—the ticket price.

Since 1962, the Friends of Akron Children's Hospital, a dedicated fundraising group, has sold raffle tickets for $1 each to raise money for patient care programs at Akron Children's. The winners are drawn during a harness race at Northfield Park.

To date, more than $3 million has been raised through the Harness Race Rally ticket sales.

The 2015 Harness Race Rally will be Aug. 21, 2015 at Northfield Park. Proceeds from this year's Rally will support  the Family Child Learning Center Autism Preschool and our Safe Sleep Initiative.

This year's prizes include:

2015 Chrysler 200, from Brunswick Automart
Custom Vintage Diamond Ring, donated by Medina Gem Company
Journey Diamond necklace, donated by Sterling Jewelers, Inc.
2 Ohio State football tickets, donated by Annita Paulucci
4 Rounds of Golf with Carts at Fairlawn Country Club
