For healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill children, and any healthcare provider who might encounter pediatric patients, PEARS covers prevention, assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric victims at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress.
Class Preparation: Students taking a PEARS Course must have the following materials:
Books may be borrowed from Akron Children's Hospital's Medical Library, or purchased online at www.eworldpoint.com. Students must come to class with a book.
