Objectives:

 

  1. Review the causes and epidemiology of sudden cardiac death in sports
  2. Identify existing recommendations for screening athletes for potential risk from sudden cardiac death in sports
  3. Describe the “Seattle Criteria”, a new evidence based EKG interpretation tool for identifying athletes at risk for sudden death in sports
