Dr. Blaise Congeni has earned a national reputation in pediatric infectious diseases. For more than 20 years, he has been a spokesperson in national outlets such as CNN and Readerís Digest for high profile news stories such as bacterial meningitis outbreaks, the safety of immunizations, staph infections and pertussis (whooping cough). He has helped print and broadcast media put perspective on West Nile virus, ear infections, flu shots and H1N1. He has done extensive research on antibiotics as well as the vaccines for rotavirus, HPV and meningitis.
