Audiology Testing with Sedation

Auditory Brainstem Evoked Response tests with sedation may be required in patients at least 4 months of age who are developmentally or behaviorally unable to complete behavioral hearing testing.  Otoacoustic emissions and tympanometry testing will also be performed.

Patients are screened using set criteria for safe sedation, and to determine if general anesthesia is a safer option.

Patients will receive results the same day.  A written report will be sent to the referring physician.
