Information About Pulmonary Atresia

Pulmonary atresia occurs when the pulmonic valve does not open at all; it may be completely absent. The main blood vessel that runs between the right ventricle and the lungs also may be malformed and the right ventricle has to pump harder to send blood to the lungs.
