Information About Mononucleosis

(also known as Mono)

Mononucleosis is a viral infection causing fever, sore throat and swollen lymph glands, especially in the neck. It is often spread by saliva and close contact. Known as the "kissing disease," mono occurs most often in teens ages 15 to 17.
