Information About Addison's Disease

Addison's disease occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough of the hormone hat help your body respond to stress and regulate your blood pressure and water and salt balance. It is typically caused by a problem with the immune system. The immune system mistakenly attacks your own tissues, damaging your adrenal glands.
