Implementation of a US/Canadian Diagnostic Registry of Children with Chronic Vasculitis

Childhood chronic vasculitis is the name of a group of life-threatening diseases that have in common inflammation of blood vessels in many important body parts such as kidneys and lungs. These diseases continue into adulthood, and children need long-term treatment and monitoring. The purpose of this project is to develop a safe, private computerized database of health information of children with chronic vasculitis, which will allow researchers to answer questions about how similar or different children with this disease are compared to adults and how long it takes doctors to recognize these diseases in children.
