Akron Children's ACGME-accredited child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program offers:
Year 1 (PL-IV) $56,500
Year 2 (PL-V) $58,500
All house officers are granted 3 weeks of vacation or 15 customary working days.
Fellows are entitled to 5 days of conference time each year for medical conventions and courses outside the hospital.
Fellows are provided $1,500 annually for use toward medical-related journals, books, conferences and license renewals.
Fellows and their dependents are enrolled in Akron Children’s health and dental insurance program.
Short- and long-term disability benefits are provided by the hospital.
Professional liability insurance is provided for each fellow by the hospital.
Each fellow is provided with a key access card for convenient parking at no charge.
Three embroidered lab coats are provided by the hospital.
The noon meal is available free of charge Monday through Friday in the hospital cafeteria.
For fellows on the night call schedule, the evening meal prior to night-duty rotation and breakfast the following morning are also provided free of charge, as well as the Saturday and Sunday noon meals for fellows on the weekend call schedule. Mid-shift meals are provided free of charge to fellows working scheduled nights or weekends during their rotation.
All "free of charge" meals are subject to a $6 limit. Fellows are responsible for amounts in excess of $6.
Costs of moving to the Akron area are reimbursed.
