Child Life Specialist Student Program

Child life specialists are an important part of the healthcare team at Akron Children's Hospital. Trained in child development and family systems, they use their knowledge to provide emotional support and developmentally appropriate education to patient families facing a range of challenging experiences, particularly those related to healthcare and hospitalization.

Akron Children's offers a variety of experiences for students interested in pursuing child life as a profession.
