Bill Considine has been the chief executive officer and president of Akron Children’s Hospital since 1979. As one of the longest serving hospital CEOs in the United States, Considine has overseen exponential growth of the hospital while remaining involved in healthcare, educational and cultural organizations at the local, state and national levels. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) and American Hospital Association (AHA). He is also chairman of Akron Tomorrow and the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron.
Considine is a seasoned spokesperson on pediatric lobbying issues, healthcare reform and business trends in healthcare.
