Heather Strawbridge, MD, will join the division of pulmonary medicine at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley in September.
Dr. Strawbridge will work with John McBride, MD, and the nurses and respiratory therapists at Akron Children’s pediatric specialties office at the Boardman Medical Pavilion, 8423 Market St. She will provide diagnosis and treatment for respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, shortness of breath, cystic fibrosis, wheezing and more.
Before joining Akron Children’s, Dr. Strawbridge completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to that, she completed her pediatric residency at the Western Reserve Care System/Tod Children’s Hospital in Youngstown. Dr. Strawbridge earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown.
Dr. Strawbridge is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Thoracic Society. In 2009, she received the ATS International Conference Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Infections Travel Award from the Assembly on Microbiology of the American Thoracic Society.
