Meet MacKenzie: Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma - 2013 Advertising Campaign

What started as a loud beeping in MacKenzie's ear turned out to be juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma, a benign brain tumor. In the year or so since her successful surgery, she has re-learned to walk, talk and even open her eyes. Now a regular visitor for outpatient rehab at Akron Children's Hospital, she still checks in with neurosurgeon Dr. Roger Hudgins so her can monitor her progress.
