Surgical Treatment for Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a deformity of the hip that can occur before, during, or weeks after birth. In this surgical webcast, Akron Children's Hospital orthopedic surgeons Mark Adamczyk, MD, and Kenneth Bono, MD, perform an open reduction procedure on an 18-month-old female with DDH to realign her hip, placing the thighbone back into the hip socket.
