Transcatheter Repair of Atrial Septal Defect

This Akron Children's surgical webcast features video of both a child and adult undergoing the catheter-based procedure to repair an atrial septal defect, followed by a interactive panel discussion with Akron Children's Hospital's Heart Center doctors and the adult patient. Panelists include pediatric heart surgeon Phil Smith, M.D., Ph.D., who is also the clinical director of the Heart Center; cardiologist John Lane, M.D., director of the Adult Congenital Heart Service; and pediatric cardiologist David Waight, M.D., director of the Interventional Cardiology Program.
