The Women's Board of Akron Children's Hospital NICU

The journey from the old neonatal intensive care unit to the new Women's Board of Akron Children's Hospital NICU in the Kay Jewelers Pavilion was only a couple hundred yards, but for families and staff alike, it was as if they'd already ventured home. Each baby now has her own room, with the space and privacy needed to enhance one-on-one care and family bonding. Each of the 75 rooms also features a private bathroom, television, sofa bed and gliding chair.
