Joel Katz, DO

Dr. Katz is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Akron Children’s, where he’s been working since 2019. After earning his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, he completed a neurosurgery residency at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Katz specializes in providing surgical treatment for diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves in infants, children, teens and young adults. He is board eligible and has contributed to many articles and presentations on topics related to his field.
